It varies from one extreme, where a person needs custodial care for his or her entire life, to the other extreme, where someone is a highly functional, successful person who may just be viewed as 'quirky'. Either way, how society regards these young people is crucial to their success as they try to navigate this tricky, fast, and complicated world. The best news is that awareness is spreading."
